Nominations are open through Sept. 30 for the H-E-B Excellence in Education Award.
Celebrating its 25th year, the program recognizes outstanding Texas public school professionals who go the extra mile to serve their students and school communities.
State-certified public-school educators currently working in Texas are eligible, along with Texas public school principals, counselors, school districts, school boards, and early childhood education centers.
Visit HEBLovesTeachers.com/nominate to nominate an educator or school in the eligible awards categories. Self-nominations are accepted. Nominees will be invited to complete an official application by Nov. 1.
Six teachers, two counselors, and two principals will be recognized as statewide winners, along with an early childhood facility, public school board, and two school districts. Winners will be announced during the awards ceremony in spring 2027. Individual award recipients will receive cash prizes, and their school will receive matching grants.
